As one of the world’s most famous producers of riesling, Ernie Loosen, of Germany’s Mosel Valley winery Dr Loosen, shares his feelings on how the city of London influenced his winemaking, his theory that all great wines share common characteristics, and how he feels about facing the critics each time he embarks on a new project.

Great video. Ernst Loosen is such an impressive man and great wine maker, although in Germany the Gault and Millau Guide has taken away one grape from Dr. Loosen and he is no longer in the top category of the about a dozen 5-grapes-producers. Other wine guides, like the Feinschmecker, have left him there. See here:
