Meet the Winemaker (Episode 2): Andrew Buttery, Gemtree Vineyards

Andrew Buttery of Gemtree Vineyards, located in South Australia’s McLaren Vale, tells Debra why McLaren Vale is one of the best places in the world to live and grow grapes for wine, how his winery plans to live up to James Halliday’s claim that they are one of the “10 Dark Horses” of the year, and how they just discovered via DNA testing that the Spanish “threw them a pup” when sending them Albariño.

Congratulations to Gemtree on their award winning wines and a great candid interivew.

Makes me want to jump on a plane to South Australia and head to a tasting at cellar door to try some of the Sauvignonasse.
