Debra Meiburg MW Meets the Winemaker 162: Pierre Perrin, Perrin & Fils

Pierre Perrin of Perrin & Fils in the Rhône Valley, tells Debra that aside from where they are based, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, they have recently started to grow grapes from the North and South of the Rhône Valley. He comments that regions such as Gigondas, and Vacqueryas should have more recognition outside of Rhone and France for the beautiful terroir they have. Pierre notes the advantages of blending their wines to control the color, tannin, and finesse, and wraps up the interview with a tip on where and when to enjoy a nice run along the Rhône.
